This app never reads anything on your own phone.

Undelivered is a detective game. Every phone you open inside it is fiction: the messages, photographs, notes, calls and locations belong to characters who do not exist, and they are downloaded from our server like any other game content. The app does not request access to your contacts, your messages, your photo library, your location, your microphone or your camera, and it has no way to read them.

What we collect

An anonymous device identifier. When the app first runs it generates a random identifier and sends it to our server so that your progress and your subscription survive a reinstall. It is a string of random characters made by the app. It is not your name, your email address, your Apple ID, your phone number or your advertising identifier, and we cannot connect it to you.

How the game is played. We record a small number of events so we can tell which cases are being opened and solved: a case opened, a piece of evidence pinned, a case solved, the subscription offer shown, a purchase completed, a purchase restored. These are counted against the anonymous identifier above and processed through Google Firebase Analytics.

Crash reports. If the app crashes, a report describing the failure — the app version, the device model, the operating system version and where in the code it happened — is sent through Google Firebase Crashlytics so that we can fix it. Crash reports do not contain the content of any case you were playing.

A notification token, if you allow notifications. If you choose to be told when a new case is published, Apple issues a token for your device and we store it so that we can send that one kind of notification. Declining changes nothing else about the game.

Purchases

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store, and managed on our side by RevenueCat. We are told whether a subscription is active and when it renews or ends. We never see your payment details, your card number, or your billing address, and neither does RevenueCat.

What we do not do

Who else handles data

Our own server is in the European Union.

Deleting your data

Because nothing we hold is tied to your identity, deleting the app removes everything on your side and orphans the anonymous identifier on ours. If you would like that identifier and the events counted against it removed as well, write to us at the address below with the date you played and we will find it and delete it.

Children

Undelivered is rated 12+. The cases are murder mysteries written for adults and older teenagers. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child under 13, and the app collects nothing that would identify one.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and anything that materially alters what we collect will be described here before it takes effect.
